ENVIRONMENTAL GOVERNANCE IN EUROPE: THE IMPACT OF INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND TRADE ON POLICY CONVERGENCE

Prof. Christoph Knill introduced the findings of a research that has been conducted in 2003. The main focus of his lecture was the analysis of 24 sample countries and 40 different policies on environmental area, policy instruments, trade-related and non-trade releated policies as well as obligatory and non obligatory policies. The discussion was centered upon the policy convergence & decrease of variations over time.
