The Constitution Is Dead! Long Live The Constitution: European Integration After The No Votes

MURCIR has hosted Dr. David Phinnemore on Tuesday at the 9th of May. The title of the talk was “The Constitution Is Dead! Long Live The Constitution: European Integration After The No Votes". Phinnemore discussed the content and the form of the constitution both in the sense of its past and its future. He argued that though the content of the constituition is very much alive, its form is quite dead. Its livelihood stems from the migration policy, integration problems, identity politics and collective security. Every country has its own perspective to the idea of EU-constitution and each counrty wants to keep its own prioritities, yet preserving the principle of “unity in diversity”.
