The presentation aims to understand and articulate the roles of Russian civil society over Russia’s foreign policy making process about Turkey. For this end, the speaker first gives a historical summary of Russia Turkey relations, shed light on some major issues between these two countries and than briefly explores Russia’s foreign policy making architecture.
The remaining parts of talk are about the specific Russian and/or Russian-Turkish non governmental organizations which tries to play a role over Russia’s Turkey policies. Why and how these NGOs take part on Russia’s Turkey policy, what are the strenghts and limitations of these NGOs on their attempts to influence Russia’s Turkey policies are some of the question that Dr.Doğan tries to answer.
